depends on what type of orchestra seats you get. And the deal with "the closer the better" is completely NOT TRUE. Center seats are ALWAYS good but the closer you are to the stage, the more you have to lift your head up. I think the best seats in the house are the seats that give you a full view of the stage when you look forward, meaning that you dont have to turn your head constantly to subjects on the stage. And also, being able to see the stage floor, sometimes important parts of the musical/play can be on the floor and the front row or any row near the front will have an obstructed view.

I think the Orchestra seats are great. They are the closest to the stage and even if you are on the side (right or left stage), you will still get a great view. Obviously center seating is best, and the closer the better, but you really can't go wrong with Orchestra.
